3. Manage workspace members
Workspace membership gives colleagues access to conversations and includes them in the relevant notification and assignment pools. Add the people who will actually handle requests for that workspace.
An Admin manages membership in Settings → Workspaces → Edit → Members.
Membership changes
- Invite the person through Settings → Team if they do not already have an active business account.
- Open the workspace's Edit dialog.
- Add or remove users in Members.
- Select Save.
- Check access and review any affected conversation assignments.
Roles and membership
- Admin: can access all workspaces, but needs explicit membership for workspace new-conversation notices and round-robin assignment.
- Member: needs membership to access a workspace's conversations.
Choose the account role for business permissions and workspace membership for where that person works.
Removal effects
Removing membership does not delete the user's account. Removing a user through Team is a separate business-level action. Before either change, arrange who will handle outstanding work and inspect the unassigned queue afterwards. Removing a non-admin member clears their open and snoozed assignments there. An admin retains workspace access and is not unassigned by this membership rule.
