How can we help?

3. Configure notifications

Choose the events you want to hear about in Settings → Notifications. Each user controls their own preferences, so you can focus on the conversations and assignments relevant to your work.

These settings do not change workspace membership or grant browser permission; those need to be checked separately.

Notification events

EventRecipient or trigger
Assigned to meAnother person or routing assigns you a conversation.
Mentioned in a noteA teammate mentions you in an internal note.
New conversation in my workspacesA conversation needs humans in a workspace you belong to.
Unanswered too longThe workspace threshold is reached; the assignee, or workspace members if unassigned, can be notified.
WhatsApp number healthChannel-health notices for admins.

Delivery preferences

Each row offers In app and Browser push. Notification sound is a separate personal toggle. Defaults are enabled. Changes save when you toggle a control; there is no final form-wide Save button.

For normal conversation notices, disabling In app also prevents the generated notice from reaching the browser-push path. WhatsApp health notices have a separate administrative delivery path; do not assume their preferences behave identically until checked in your deployment.

Browser notification test

  1. Turn on Browser push for the event you need.
  2. Accept the browser permission request.
  3. Keep Converso open and connected, move focus to another browser tab or window, then ask a colleague to assign you a conversation or mention you.
  4. Check the in-app feed, browser notification and sound separately.

The label Browser push refers to browser notifications delivered while the application is running; it is not a service-worker push service guaranteed to work after closing the app. Staff email notifications are not provided.

Delivery checks

If a notification does not arrive, check:

Conversation state and notices

Snoozed conversations are excluded from the unanswered scan while snoozed, but snooze is not a universal notification mute. Blocking closes the affected threads and prevents ordinary new message activity; it does not erase earlier notices. Slack notices are configured separately under Developer.
